APEX Update 9 April 2020
A quick update for today…..
With the upcoming long weekend, we have had a number of queries coming through from people who were originally rostered to work a public holiday but are now no longer rostered due to the introduction of emergency rosters.
As you cannot be disadvantaged from these roster changes, if you were originally rostered to work a public holiday but are no longer required to work, you are still entitled to be paid for that day at your normal rate of pay (T1). Unfortunately, as per the Holidays Act 2003, you are not entitled to T1.5 or a day in lieu unless a public holiday is actually worked.
For all those working on Good Friday or Easter Monday, you are entitled to T1.5 or whatever rate of pay your collective states, as well as a day in lieu.
Wherever you are and whatever you can get up to, we trust your Easter is a good one. If you do need us, please email us.
