APEX Conference 2026

Delegates Training

Registrations for APEX Delegates Training 2026 have now closed. The conference is scheduled for 13-14 October 2026 and will be held at the Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre in Mount Wellington, Auckland. The National Divisional Council and Executive will be meeting the day prior on Monday 12 October 2026, also at Waipuna.

This year’s conference theme is centred around productivity in the health sector. As in previous years, the first day will focus on the theme of productivity and the second day will focus on employment issues led by APEX advocates.

Difficult Conversations Workshop

Registrations for the Difficult Conversations workshop have now closed. Delegates who have registered will be contacted directly with confirmation and further details.

Following the positive feedback from delegates who attended Difficult Conversations Training facilitated by Nicola Hartfield last year, APEX will again be offering an additional day of training at Waipuna on 15 October for delegates who have not previously attended a Difficult Conversations workshop.

This workshop examines the challenges delegates face in their roles and how personal triggers can affect behaviour at work. Through research-based models, reflection and practical exercises, delegates will learn to recognise and manage triggers, regulate anger and respond constructively in difficult situations.
