Medical Laboratory Workers and NZ Blood Service employees to picket in support of strike action.
The DHBs' refusal to engage in constructive bargaining has resulted in them rejecting APEX’s calls to settle the Medical Imaging Technologists (MITs) MECA. The DHBs have filed for facilitation.
DHB employed MITs have rejected the offer put to them in settlement of their national collective agreement and will be taking further strike action this week. Negotiations for the MIT national MECA have now been ongoing for over 10 months.
Six hundred psychologists employed by District Health Boards, and members of the union APEX, will begin voting next week on a new offer from their employers to settle their collective agreement negotiations.
