Awanui Labs seeks to gut its Nelson Lab

Awanui Labs is consulting APEX and affected staff on a proposal to cease their histology service at the Nelson Laboratory. They propose disestablishing ten positions, and transferring the region’s histology work to their Christchurch lab.

Hawke’s Bay Clinical Pharmacist Facilitators Set to Go on Strike

Clinical Pharmacist Facilitators working in Primary Care and employed by Te Whatu Ora in the Hawke’s Bay District are set to begin strike action on Friday 10 February. The partial action will see members not conducting home visits, doing any work related to COVID, or communicating with community pharmacies about patients for a period of two weeks.

Anaesthetic Technicians Walk off the Job Tomorrow

Anaesthetic Technicians who are members of APEX are set to undertake a 24 hour full withdrawal of labour tomorrow. Technicians across 17 locations will be downing tools in an effort to receive a fair offer from their employer, Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand).
