Feedback you provide
Feedback is important and is used to evaluate and improve the site.
We may pass on relevant data to other people within APEX or contracted external service providers who administer the site or contribute content to the site. This may include your email address and other identifying information that you have provided.
Application Forms
A copy of all successfully submitted application form data is sent directly to our membership officer upon successful submission, as well as to the personal email address supplied by the applicant, for reference. The data is also securely retained on the website for the minimum period required in order to ensure successful receipt by our membership officer, for entry into our secure database.
Once entered into our secure database, all relevant submitted membership application data may be accessed only by APEX staff, and by authorised third-party service providers for normal union-related administrative and specific database management and maintenance purposes.
Survey, Contact and all other forms
If you submit data through a survey, contact or feedback form to us, it will be sent to the appropriate advocate, administrative or membership staff. A copy will be retained on the backend of the website for the minimum period required to ensure successful receipt by the relevant staff member, before being permanently deleted.
We may pass on relevant content from these forms to other people within APEX, or to authorised third parties who are contracted to administer the site, or provide external consultation related to the purpose of the data collection. This may include your email address and other identifying information.

Storage and deletion of information
Personally identifiable information is not made available to the public. Unless required by law, we will not disclose the names, email addresses or any other submitted details of individuals who provide data through website forms without their consent.
Any personal identifying information gathered on this website is stored securely within the website until delivered to the relevant destination. Once a minimum period of time has passed in order for the delivery to have taken place, the data is permanently deleted from within the site.

Statistical information and cookies
Statistical information collected
We use Google Universal Analytics to collect statistical information about your visit to help us improve the site. This information is aggregated and does not identify you personally. It includes:
- your IP address
- the search terms you used
- the pages you visited on our site and the links you clicked on
- the date and time you visited the site
- the referring site (if any) from which you clicked through to this site
- your operating system, for example Windows, MacOS
- the type of web browser you use, such as Chrome, Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox

Use of statistical information
The statistical information referred to above can be viewed by site administrators and certain other APEX staff. It may also be shared with authorised third parties for the purposes of administering the site only.

This site generates persistent session cookies (that is, they have an expiry date and are removed on that date) for the purpose of monitoring site usage.
The cookies do not collect personal information. You can disable them or clear them out of your web browser without affecting your ability to use the site.
